I want to drop history?
Were only like a term and a bit into it but i already hate it.
our topics are the cold war and the war of the roses. i don’t really mind the war of the roses but i HATE the cold war. it doesn’t help that i don’t like my teacher and he treats me like a 4 year old, but i try really hard to listen and understand and i just can’t. when i ask for help he makes me look really stupid instead of actually helping he ask questions with only the really smart people know the answers to and makes me and anyone else look so stupid……
how do i overcome this to stick with the course?
i really want to get into uni
Im in english school so it’s not core….i picked it! i really liked it last year, it wasn’t my top choice but i thought it would be okay. I have 3 teachers.

Stick with it. It will be over before you know it. I have dropped classes in college and looked back and wished I hadn’t. I would go ahead and make it through. You will be happy you did in the long run. Quitting is the easy way out.

If you drop history then good luck getting some where in life! Here’s what you do, make eye contact with teacher when their teaching you something, take notes frequently, try to find the fun in something, try to put yourself in the shoes of certain people that your reading about. Works for me! I aced my mid term in history!

Yep, I’ve been there before. Your professor is a typical one that can be found in most universities. Sheltered by the walls of that university, never having to venture out into the real workforce…they know everything.

I would do this. You hate the Cold War because it’s probably boring to you. You’ve got to find some things though to really ask your professor. Something that is not a quick answer that they think "everyone should know".

Talk to some people that know a pretty good bit about history. Give them specific parts of the topic that your professor is talking about from a class that week. Then get some good questions to ask when you go back in there.

I’ll do it. Send me something. I’d be happy to help you put that know it all professor in their place with a few good questions.

Just do not drop it. You’ll always remember later that the professor got to you and was the main reason you dropped a class.

wow ya i understand you

I am at the university Of south Florida and I hate professors who do stupid things like that.

My college algebra teacher was from f-ing russia and nobody in class could understand her and it was bad enough that it was like 60 people in the class.

So if you asked her a question (which people are going to do that because this is math) she ramble and end up answering something else or she would also tell someone else in the class to answer it and it made you fell stupid or like what the f she didn’t even answer my question.

My Mass Communication teacher and my Political Science Teacher where the same way.

I am a jr now and now i know how to deal with it.

In classes like that you have to read ahead. Like read the chapter ahead of time before his lecture. That way when you g oto class you will already know what he is going to say. And take note s on stuff you didn’t remember from the chapter that he is saying. If you still have a question just go back in the book where he is at and look it up yourself. (and you will know where he is in the chapter by reading ahead.)

If you already do this and you some how still don’t understand I recommend dropping the class and getting a new teacher next semester. Or you can get someone in class to explain stuff to you after class if you don’t want to do that.

Since you are a history buff, if you are also interested in the history of Lunar Exploration, there is a great new Moon simulation out there that lets you go to the Moon and actually walk around the landing sites and it gives you lots of detailed information on the objects on the Moon.
It’s all based on actual NASA data about the Moon.

Try and look into Civilization IV. Great game, hundereds of hours into it and the graphics are great for a turn-based strategy game. If your a history buff like I am, you’ll get a kick out of making India christian.

For your anime and RTS combo, try asking for Final Fantasy Tactics games. Those are the funnest turn based strategy games around and are really fun.

Is it time to move on?
Hi

Just under 3 years ago I took a job in an office which I loved, the people I work with are lovely, the job is relatively easy and at the time I got the train to and from work.

Then they cancelled the trains to make way for a metrolink forcing me to get the bus until spring 2012 (assuming they complete it on time!).

The problem is, I used to get the 8:20 train and get to work early, now I get the 7:00am bus and get to work just on time and then to come home I used to get the 5:20 train and get home within half an hour, now I don’t get home until around 7:15pm.

I’m so tired and moody all the time, and it’s affecting my work, I love the place and the people but the travel is killing me.

I barely have time to do anything during the week so I spend my entire weekend catching up on the things I should have done during the week.

I can’t afford to drive into work because the traffic is so bad you don’t leave 2nd gear for the entire journey and then it’s ?5+ a day to park so I just can’t afford it.

I really don’t know what to do – should I move on to a position closer to home or should I stick it out a bit longer?

I had a similar problem. I had to get a few hours extra sleep and just make the most of my weekends. It sounds like you enjoy your job so you have to decide if you want to leave the job and get something you hate closer to home or move closer to your job. Do which ever one feels right to you. Imagine the outcome of both scenarios and you’ll see which one makes you the happiest.

My wife thinks that DC would focus heavily on Spider man and maybe Captain America more so than Marvel does at the moment.Marvel would focus more on the Justice League and possably turn some of the villians into anti-heroes.

Problem with getting Blood Dragon armor in Mass Effect 2?
I had Dragon Age: Origins on PC and got the Blood Dragon armor for ME2 as DLC. I registered the game under an account using my email. When I bought ME2, I uploaded the Cerberus Card and used a seperate email account. But now it says it can’t authenticate my Blood Dragon DLC to the new account, so I can’t use it with ME2. Anyone know a solution?
