What are some sad or depressed sounding piano pieces?

I wouldn’t say that they are all "sad" or "depressed", but a lot of Enya’s music is piano based and leaves you feeling emotional. Try "Miss Clare Remembers" or "Shepherd Moons" for a start. My absolute favorite is "Memories of Green", by Vangelis, from the Blade Runner Soundtrack.

Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven, please I urge you, if not already, to listen to this masterpiece it’s truly beautiful. Another more modern saddening piano piece would be Pianomusings – California (OC Soundtrack) on youtube, he’s a great pianist.

If you like classical piano, you’ll want to look for songs that are written in a minor key (a lot of classical pieces will state the key in the "title")
