Should I move home to America from Australia? I'm 14 and desperately want to be back home with my family.?
All my family is back home. But I’ve gone to years 7-9 here. I miss my family so incredibly much, my mom and I are the only two here. She loves her job but she misses everyone even more than me. I really want to go to real high school in the states, but I’ve almost finished ninth grade in Australia – do you think if I asked I could be accepted into freshman flow instead of sophmore? Because of different units and stuff. And I was in band ’til I moved here, and I loved it, but would I be re-accepted there? I don’t know, I just really want to be home.
well its your choice, i think family is better than everything even better than a good job, i have the same situation, im 14, and in aus but but mine is within schools and id rather be back at that school even though this school is much better education, so ill be back in America but thats just me.

It is hard to answer your question without more information. Is your father in America? Is he an American citizen? If he is then you very well may be an American citizen as well. If that is the case then you do not need to worry about a visa. If he is not, then he can apply for you to join him in the US.
Other family, unless it is a sibling over 21, won’t help you return to the US any time soon. They can apply for you, but it is going to take 10 yrs, give or take, before you can return in this category.
As for school. You do know Australia is ranked higher than the US as far as education goes right? But if you do manage to return to the US, you can request to be placed in 9th grade, may or may not be allowed. You should also be able to join the band with no problems.
Talk to your mom, and see if she can help you sort through this situation.

You cannot move home on your own, you have to talk things over with your mother. Even if you could move to the US and live there with relatives in order to go to school you still would need her consent. This is not a question anybody here can solve for you.

Yeah sure – just remember, if you get famous, Australia will claim you as one of its own forever.
