I’m on twitter and highly involved in the tweeting and re-tweeting of protest supporting messages. Today I get a tweet from someone saying the US should stop meddling. Not meddling, just verbally offering support. Our gov. has simply said to our reporters the way we feel about it. They tweeted a manuscript in Farsi where it was made clear that we do not want to get involved but we are saddened at what is happening. These people who accuse us of meddling really need to watch an episode of Scooby Doo because talking amongst ourselves is not meddling, lol. What do you think?
Funny enough a person who tweeted me that US should stay out of Iran affairs was from Islamabad… want to talk about a foreign country meddling? Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black?
I’ve gotten may tweets from people saying that US should butt out. Then I get tweets from protestors saying they need our support. US twitter supporters have been tweeting info from CNN to protestors. We tweeted info that could have saved a few lives! Think the opposition is starting to get involved on twitter?
You obviously have two factions involved in Iran, those who want freedom and those who want to maintain their Theocracy. The young people in Iran love the West and anything American and they want their freedom. Radical Arabs do not want to see Iran turn into a pro US country.

I think we need to stay focused on Iraq. As long as Iran keeps the insurgent the hell out of Iraq, quit funding Hezbollah and Hamas, and stops their production of nuclear weapons, I’m cool. But the rest is up to the people of Iran.

I think they look at our recent past history (the invasion and take over of Iraq) and they don’t want us to get involved because they don’t want that in their country. I don’t blame them. America does meddle too much in other countries affairs, neglecting what’s going on in our homeland. Maybe if Bush had paid attention what was going on here at all we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in right now. But no, every other country was far more important then our own. The ones who want our help are the ones who want the current leaders taken out of power. The ones who don’t want our help are the ones who like the current leaders. And don’t forget, Obama boy wants to be friends with the leaders of Iran and change their opinion of America. Getting involved with their political affairs will sour that deal.

the us doesnt have to condemn the election. however, we are a country that stands (or did stand) for freedom. freedom of the right to protest against tyranny and oppression. this was an easy call to make, and its sad to see obama waiting to long to make this apparent. it makes me question his loyalty to the us. he condemned the attacks yesterday…why didnt he just do it in the first place? what changed in a week? was he waiting for europe to say something? which they did almost immediately. the lack of decisiveness is troubling at best. and does not bode well for dealing with the situations in afghanistan and north korea. americans need to take action, even if their president wont.
