Do you think atheists invented violent video games because they weren't satisfied with killing unborn children?
I guess they got so good at killing babies that they figured they couldn’t do any better in the real world, so they turned to the next best thing: the imaginations of the living.
@A Modest Proposal: why kill them yourself when you can get others to do it for you, thus corrupting good people in the process?

We got the idea for violent video games from your crusades. We got the idea of torture from your witch hunts.
In short, we took your real evils and made them safe.

Abase yourself and thank us, ingrate.

It’s funny how such games sell so well in the mainly Christian USA. I mean, if there was an inkling of truth in your assumption, then I would expect countries like Sweden to be major consumers.
A Modest Proposal | Feb 08, 2010

I can assure you that we are very satisfied with killing unborn children. Especially when we get to eat them afterwards.
Doug Graves-Witherspoon | Feb 08, 2010

I think they created games like Grand Theft Auto 4 because it is all kinds of hilarious to run a buick into a crowd.

Nope, how hard is it for you trolls to come up with such completely random thoughts? Do they just pop into your head or do you have to practice?
Paul | Feb 08, 2010

Video games are video games, they’re not real, it’s just like horror movies. Also, it’s true that people in Canada Australia and Europe tend to be more sexually-liberated, but more violence, while Americans have a higher tolerance for violence, but less for sexuality.

Interesting.

Isn’t it funny that most abortions are procured because

(A) the family feels financially unable to cope with a child or another child. While the religious right who are supposedly "Pro Life" strenuously object to any increase in welfare payments to low income earners and those in desperate need of assistance.

(B) Unwed young mothers who feel they will be ostracized and victimized because of their pregnancy by the overly religious members of the community who fiercely oppose any form of sex education and easy access to contraception.

So while you say you oppose aborting the sad truth is the death of these unborn innocent fetuses is placed firmly at the feet of the rabid religious right.

Judge not lest you be judged

You must have us mixed up with your loving god. You know the one who kills even animals that had nothing to do with what went wrong, the same god that killed children, women and the elderly. He even destroyed the world if you believe that joke book that you have your head wrapped in. Imaginations we always leave to you believers of miracles who surely do not do much living just a lot of praying and wishful thinking. Unlike those good christians in your bible who let the babies be born then bashed out their brains against rocks, today for whatever reason they are aborted before you believers can bash their head against rocks or give them up for burnt offerings. Then in Haiti it seems that some of you good christians were trying to steal a load of kids for what, to sell them on the market? Not even by the best imagination is that OK. I think ignorance is the operative word.

The kids in my class believed everything they saw on slumdog millionaire?
k at school we just finished watching slumdog millionaire and surprisingly most kids in my class thought that everything that happened in the movie happened in real life so alot of us disagreed and we had an argument then we asked the kids who are from india 2 are muslim 1 was hindu and we asked them about how things really are india then they said that slumdog millionaire was over exaggerated and that there isn’t a big issue between hindus and muslims the bigger issue is dalits and non-dalits( the caste system) then we got this assignment about comparing the lives of the kids in the movie to the lives of the kids in real-life(we have to do research on how their real lives are) and for the rest of the class our teacher gave us a long lecture about the difference between a movie and a documentary sooooo….

why do ppl beleive everything they see in movies? why does our society make stupid movies where people would started to labels things and why do ppl believe everything they see in movies, which are not real? also when i researched these movies i found articles of people totally stereotyping after watching these movies, they had the same idea as the kids in my class? give me your opinion on this

and this isn’t the first time same thing happened when we saw american history X(all the kids in my class thought american white ppl are racists), freedom writers(all the kids in my class thought the teens in long beach are uneducated and aggressive) and now slumdog millionaire where all the kids in my class thinks that all hindus and all muslims don’t like each other and don’t get along, the next thing we are going to watch is "it takes a child", a documentary finally!

btw this is a grade 10 academic class

Because you are young and impressionable. The point of those movies are to get your mind and gears thinking. To inspire people to gain more knowledge or research more about the topic of the movie.

then his father was released but charles **continue** to work for wanting of his mum.

Correction – continued

during this period charles **works** at day and **studys** at night

Correction – ‘worked’ ’studied’

he married catherine hogarth but the marriage **don’t was happy**

Correction – was an unhappy one and failed

A few other small ones but these are the most inconsistent
Good luck

I need help. . . I just now woke up from a horrible dream.. I need it defined..?
Okay so I just woke up from this dream… I need someone to help me define it because I have a bad feeling about this dream. This is how it goes and I will also give a little insight about the relationship I have with each family member and person in it. If you can, please tell me what each means…

So last night me and my girlfriend went to bed talking about how my ex (which was my first lover when I was 15) posted a comment on my Myspace picture. I’m 18 now btw. Because my girl left a comment about how much she loves sleeping by me every night. My ex from when I was 15 left a comment saying she has "been there done that haha". exactly like that. She said it bothers her but that she has me and that’s all that she cares about. Well I fell asleep a little after that.

So as I fell asleep, one part of my dream is me with my father standing in my old neighborhood on the sidewalk looking across the street. You see, me and my father have a little rough relationship. Him and my mother got a divorce wen I was around 13 and my brother was 15. I see him every now and again but things will never be the same between us. So that’s just that part.

The main dream I had was with me, my girlfriend, and my brother. My brother is 20 years old and me and my girl is 18. We were set at this house beside a beach.Such a beautiful beach it was. Everything was a great setting. The sky had the colors of orange mixing with the night sky like the sun was about to rise. The sun always stayed below the waters end and never came up. We all went swimming and was laughing and having fun. Of course if you knew me, I was saying "watch out for my hair" because I didn’t want it to get wet due to me always styling it lol. Well at some point later in the dream, we walk back in and were in a room. I felt the need to just "go home". My girlfriend and brother were laying on the bed. I walk through a hallway and go upstairs to a door that, when I opened, led to what I believe to be was my old neighborhood I stood with my father. But before I walked out, I closed the door and went back to the bedroom where my brother and girlfriend were. I still don’t know why I went back. . . .

As I walked back, I saw my girl laying on her side on the bed with the face of disgust and sadness on. Behind her, was my brother. . Shot.. I look at my girlfriend and pull a miniature gun from her. it looked like a six shot magnum. I look at my brother. he was shot in his chest or stomach. He was laying on his side with his back facing my girl.

This next part is what is making me want to cry….

I look at my brother while he is moaning in pain.. I say "CJ . . . do you want me to end it.." while in tears. I shoot him once more in either the chest or stomach.. He’s still alive.. I’m balling at this point crying so hard. He says "give me the gun." He puts it in his mouth and says, "I want it to spray everywhere" meaning, all over my girlfriend because she shot him. He pulls the trigger, blood sprays on the pillow next to him and her. Its silent.. for a little bit… I say my brothers name… "CJ…" he raises up and says "hold on" and opens the nearest window to spit blood out of his mouth… THEN I WAKE UP SCARED AS HELL.

PLEASE! This is my brother. I hear that some dreams come true. I’m not saying this one will, but you have to understand why I’m doing this.

If you can define this dream.. I will be very very grateful to you. Please. . . PLEASE lend me you’re skill if you are good at defining dreams… Please let me know whats going on inside my head….

Thanks…. and sorry for it being so long.

If your children have ever gone to dentist Heidi Hame (Malibu/Lancaster) what did you think of the experience?
I’ve just returned from an appointment there today, and was rather unimpressed…to say the least. Sure the waiting room and treatment rooms have dolls and murals and playsets and cartoons, and sure she’s nice as pie when the parents are in there… but she knew sedative was prescribed for my daughter and didn’t ask whether it was administered before beginning treatment, had me sit in the waiting room while treating my daughter (even the nurses asked me, "did the doctor ask to see you?" when I asked to see her during treatment, and the treatment room door was locked the whole time, with no answer.) Then to top it off, she didn’t provide options for treatment…she told me right off the bat what she was "going" to do. Overall bad experience. Would rather have taken my daughter to a regular dentist who would let me be involved and who would not traumatise her.

If you’ve ever taken your child to (or yourself been seen by) the dentist Heidi Hame, what were your impressions/reactions?

Ramadan:… Who can be more an Israelite than A Palestinian?
The ones who traveled with Musa even as then we called him Moishe.. the ones who Spoke Hebrew descended from our father Abraham..

The ones who never left our homeland even if it was in defiance of Hashem… so we remained when they all had left for Babylon we remained and we followed our traditions we followed our Prophets and some amongst us also followed Yeshua Isa bin Myriam aas… Then came the One which would be a prophet for ALL mankind. A prophet raised from amongst our brothers! As it was told to Moses aas.. We accepted it as it was but a continuation of our original faith the faith of our father Abraham aas and Moses aas and Isaac aas.. We who not only come from these people but also mixed with the people of Canaan and with others around us but who still even today after genetic tests are concluded have been shown to be related to peoples who have always been in the land of Palestine. so who is more israelite now than a Palestinian? so if they say god promised the land to the children of Abraham pbuh and Isaac pbuh… then just remember who our fathers are ;)

How can I expand my vocal range?
I believe my singing voice isn’t all that bad if I have a song that fits it. I have all the vibrato I need, all the volume, the thing is, I can’t hit many notes. To do a cover of a song that doesn’t fit, I usually have to change the whole song into a different key.

Let’s take Party In The USA by Miley Cyrus as an example, I can sing the first verse, and as soon as I get to the chorus it’s way too high. When I imagine myself singing it, I can hear myself sing the notes fine, then when I try, my voice just cuts off.

Maybe I’m not singing right? How can I expand my vocal range?

I’ve researched this and people have said to sing from the abdomin, but I stuggle to do that and don’t know how.

Any suggestions without getting singing lessons?

Oh and here’s a video of me singing Winter Wonderland. :) I edited it for Christmas though.

practice scales in different keys.

| Jan 24, 2010

well… the best way is to learn to use your diaphragm and develop correct posture.
you might be singing too much from your throat.
the voice for singing is supposed to come from the diaphragm and if you dont use it, your voice will sound more strained and it will be harder to hit higher notes.
i know once i learnt and practiced for a while my range went over half an octave higher and lower.
and how you imagine yourself singing the notes, that is GOOD. it means you are more likely to be on the right pitch and in tune.
practice correct posture and breathing properly for starters, making sure it goes right down to your abdomen first and then right to the top of your lungs. stand with your feet about shoulder width apart and dont tense up your body.
sing a note up to a number (eg- sing 1,2,3,4,….. 16,17,18) and hold the last number.
go up by semitones and increase the number of notes you sing when you get more strength, always concertrating on your breathing and posture.
when you learn to breath properly try to speed up the process of breathing so inbetween rests of songs you can quickly fill up with air and get into the right stance
get singing excercise books, and do vocalises.
getting lessons is good if you want them.
