IMDB rating: 7.50 Plot: Johnny Ross works for Chicago mobster Peter Ross, his brother. In April 1968 Johnny Ross escapes two attempts on his life and flees to San Francisco, where he is placed in protective custody by politician Walter Chalmers, who hopes to use Ross to further his own national aspirations. To protect Ross, Chalmers asks the SFPD to assign Detective Lieutenant Frank Bullitt and his partners, Sergeants Don Delgetti and Carl Stanton, to guard him at a flophouse near an overhead freeway. It looks like a simple assignment, but at 1 AM the next day it all goes awry in a blast of a shotgun, leaving Stanton and Ross fighting for life at San Francisco General. Bullitt gets what information he can, but breathing down his neck is the angered Chalmers who vows to ruin Bullitt’s career should Ross die. Bullitt gets a break when the gunman appears at the hospital to finish off Ross, and Bullitt gets a good look at him; now Bullitt must smoke out the gunman and his backup man before Chalmers carries out his threat, leading to a high-speed pursuit, a fiery crash at a gas station, and a fingerprint check that leads to a stunning discovery about Ross, and about a couple staying at a swanky hotel in San Mateo. |

Car for sale: Is it too cheap?! Something wrong?
I came across an ad for a 2008 mustang bullitt, and its for sale for $14,000 with only 23,000km on it. Automatic. I read other listings for vehicles similar and they sell for $25,000 and up. This seems like a strange occurance, what do you think? Would there be something wrong with the car? (They have pictures of the exterior and interior and under the hood and it appears nothing wrong with it)
I’d love this car.
This is what the guy says on the listing::
This vehicle has been on the road for 2 weeks and I was the first registered owner. It has made one trip to Manitoba and has just over 3000 Kms. Has all the features of the Bullitt special edition and is completely bone stock with factory warrantee and roadside package.
"something" is wrong with that car. It ran kilometers in the US, that is really weird, maybe it fell off a boat to europe ?

Take it and have a Mstr. Tech look it over for you, do a compression check and shake it down for you. With the way things are today, their just most likely trying to save their credit and get out from under an expensive toy. I always loved the Mustang, but people beat them into the ground and sell them. Be careful, have a professional look it over.

Hi: Run a car-fax on it and a lien check. Then have a mechanic check it out. It may cost you a few bucks but it will be money well spentt if something is wrong.
That is a low price but the seller may just need fast cash.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Run a carfax on the VIN number. If the car has a "rebuilt" title or "salvage" title, that means the car has been involved in an accident so bad that it would cost 75% or more of the value of the car to repair. In that case, it would be a bad idea to purchase the car. Usually these cars are fixed up in the cheapest way possible to make the car look good on the outside but is a mess under the hood, and are sold for cheap.

Let me guess u saw it on Craigslist?
Contact the seller……… if he says he’s overseas and will ship for free if u pay by eBay protection then the ad was bogus.

What country is this in? 23,000 km? We go by miles here and dollars.
That’s way too cheap for that car unless the guy / girl selling it beat the crap out of it, it’s been in an accident, or something negative like that… maybe he just wants to be a nice guy and give someone a deal?
Some people are strange in ther own way. Remember 23000 miles driven hard and at the track every other weekend is more like 123000 miles driven normally.
