The Last Sect (2006)

Plot: The journalist Sydney St. James is writing an article for the magazine where she works about the on-line dating agency Artemis that is specialized in women. She schedules an interview with the owner of Artemis, Anna, and she visits the mysterious woman with her photographer Sam, who is fascinated by a site called Vampire Web. Sidney feels a great attraction for Anna, who is actually an ancient vampire called Anastasia. Meanwhile the vampire hunter Dr. Abraham Van Helsing is advised by his assistant Tone about the correlation between Artemis and the Vampire Web, and Van Helsing explains that in every turn of millennium, the vampire sect needs to regenerate, using a woman for this purpose. Van Helsing calls his partner Karpov and together they go to Artemis to fight against Anastasia and her sect.

Do you think if there was a prophet today, to lead and guide us; there wouldn't be so much puzzlement?
Do you think if there was a prophet today, to lead and guide us; there wouldn’t be so much puzzlement about what religion is true and "no, this passage means this and that" because in the bible times they had prophets to lead and guide them. i also read in Ephesians that Jesus Christs’ church must have prophets and apostles to…. run His church i guess ya could say
Eph. 2: 19-20
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.

11 And he agave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

and also the only thing Satan doesn’t have one bit of power over; is the priesthood. so when the last apostle died; there went the last person with authority to give the priesthood. so…. when you don’t have the priesthood; that leaves your religion subject to the power of Satan. and you even. and that’s where all the other sects of religion come into hand………….they don’t have a Prophet, or the priesthood to keep them from being subject to Satan’s tactics. that’s what i discovered
and also the lord says He’s the same yesterday, today and forever. if that’s true then, where is our prophets. why is there so many sects of religion? why isn’t it the same as the prophets of old. to lead and guide us in a dispensation. wouldn’t it take revelation to know if there was no more revelation? the lord wouldn’t just cut us off like that. where is the lord to keep us updated on His works?
i haven’t singled out any other religion on my research. there’s only one big successful religion out there that fits the criteria of Christ’s true church: the LDS church.
Good riddance.
Actually (as others have correctly stated) a true prophet will only decrease puzzlement among those who correctly identify him as a true prophet. A person that hears the truth but doesn’t believe it will gain no benefit.
Fortunately, God will answer the prayers of humble seekers as to where His truth may be found. If God has called a prophet today, then God will lead honest seekers to that prophet. I am thankful for the spiritual witness I have received that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, called to restore priesthood authority, precious truths, and Christ’s church to earth. Today, the true prophet is Thomas S. Monson. I have felt the same spiritual witness as to his prophetic calling as I received with respect to Joseph Smith.
This knowledge is available to all. Read the Book of Mormon with a searching, honest heart. Then ask God if it is true and if Joseph Smith was a true prophet. If you ask in faith, humility, and sincerity, God will answer you by the power of the Holy Ghost.

"puzzlement" is not a word. But there would be more "puzzlement" if there was a prophet, since there would be argument over whether or not the prophet was real.

We have something that the people during the Prophet era did not, the Holy Spirit.
He guides and directs us.

The True Prophets of the days before Christ were directly instructed by God…. and even those could not compel others to follow them…. and the vast majority did not… not even the big ones like Mosses and Isaiah… and there is no need for prophets such as those… as The Word is complete… no more is to be added to it… thus no more Prophets as in old….

Think about it…God sent prophets and many would NOT listen…they were even killed…Sooooo God sent His Son Jesus…what happen??? He too was put to death…People are for themselves…they do not want their sins revealed…they want to live their lives in darkness…God came to this planet as a man…and still they would not listen…what makes you think they will listen today…they won’t.

no we do not need a prophet.
we have the word of god and the holy spirit to guide and lead us.
the people who had prophets did not have the word of gd but had just parts of it.
satan does not have power over the church because of no priest
the holy spirit of god keeps satan out of the church and the holy spirit tells people the truth
the problem we have now is people do not have the holy spirit and make up their own teachings or believe lies. god said this would happen

1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
the people in the old testament did not have the holy spirit living in them as we do today as christians. no the LDS is not the one true church.
the true church is every believer who has called on jesus to save them and believe jesus rose from the dead, not a religion. romans 10:9-10

Well I believe there is a TRUE prophet. And his name is Thomas S. Monson. But that’s just me and my beliefs and I don’t look down on anyone who doesn’t happen to have my same beliefs. But it’s not cool how people make up rumors about us. (btw I’m LDS or Mormon)

. The CAP program is a great 2nd chance, but it is all on you. Do not be tempted to slack by all the other students and your friends – none of them will go to UCB unless they knuckle up too. I went into UCB straight-away, but see now that JC would have been the more academically and economically sound way to go, if I had discipline. Get the discipline or else.
