After an extended jail sentence, Henry must sneak around the back of the local mob boss, Paulie Cicero, played by Paul Sorvino, to live the life of luxury he has always dreamed of. In the end, the friends end up in a hell of a jam, and must do anything they can to save each other, and stay alive.

"No Country For Old Men"–a Coen Brothers production, starring Tommy Lee Jones, adapted from a Cormac Macarthy novel..drugs and money with a hitman with a special weapon.Brilliant.
"There Will Be Blood"–Daniel Day-Lewis as hardman, who virtually creates the blueprint for oil monopoly early in the 1900s capitalist US..no mercy.. for anyone. Johnny Greenwood from Radiohead does the soundtrack.Again,Brilliant.

Considering your selection–you must see these–"Snatch",Brad Pitt as Irish gypsy bare-knuckle fighter, directed by Guy Ritchie ("Trainspotting").Heavy.Apparently 3 pigs can consume a human torso in a few hours.
She schedules an interview with the owner of Artemis, Anna, and she visits the mysterious woman with her photographer Sam, who is fascinated by a site called Vampire Web. Sidney feels a great attraction for Anna, who is actually an ancient vampire called Anastasia. Meanwhile the vampire hunter Dr. Abraham Van Helsing is advised by his assistant Tone about the correlation between Artemis and the Vampire Web, and Van Helsing explains that in every turn of millennium, the vampire sect needs to regenerate, using a woman for this purpose. Van Helsing calls his partner Karpov and together they go to Artemis to fight against Anastasia and her sect.

Do you think if there was a prophet today, to lead and guide us; there wouldn't be so much puzzlement?
Do you think if there was a prophet today, to lead and guide us; there wouldn’t be so much puzzlement about what religion is true and "no, this passage means this and that" because in the bible times they had prophets to lead and guide them. i also read in Ephesians that Jesus Christs’ church must have prophets and apostles to…. run His church i guess ya could say

Eph. 2: 19-20
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.
And: 1.
Eph. 4: 11-14
11 And he agave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

and also the only thing Satan doesn’t have one bit of power over; is the priesthood. so when the last apostle died; there went the last person with authority to give the priesthood. so…. when you don’t have the priesthood; that leaves your religion subject to the power of Satan. and you even. and that’s where all the other sects of religion come into hand………….they don’t have a Prophet, or the priesthood to keep them from being subject to Satan’s tactics. that’s what i discovered

and also the lord says He’s the same yesterday, today and forever. if that’s true then, where is our prophets. why is there so many sects of religion? why isn’t it the same as the prophets of old. to lead and guide us in a dispensation. wouldn’t it take revelation to know if there was no more revelation? the lord wouldn’t just cut us off like that. where is the lord to keep us updated on His works?
i haven’t singled out any other religion on my research. there’s only one big successful religion out there that fits the criteria of Christ’s true church: the LDS church.
Good riddance.

Actually (as others have correctly stated) a true prophet will only decrease puzzlement among those who correctly identify him as a true prophet. A person that hears the truth but doesn’t believe it will gain no benefit.

Fortunately, God will answer the prayers of humble seekers as to where His truth may be found. If God has called a prophet today, then God will lead honest seekers to that prophet. I am thankful for the spiritual witness I have received that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, called to restore priesthood authority, precious truths, and Christ’s church to earth. Today, the true prophet is Thomas S. Monson. I have felt the same spiritual witness as to his prophetic calling as I received with respect to Joseph Smith.

This knowledge is available to all. Read the Book of Mormon with a searching, honest heart. Then ask God if it is true and if Joseph Smith was a true prophet. If you ask in faith, humility, and sincerity, God will answer you by the power of the Holy Ghost.

"puzzlement" is not a word. But there would be more "puzzlement" if there was a prophet, since there would be argument over whether or not the prophet was real.
We have something that the people during the Prophet era did not, the Holy Spirit.
He guides and directs us.

John 16:13 (King James Version)

The True Prophets of the days before Christ were directly instructed by God…. and even those could not compel others to follow them…. and the vast majority did not… not even the big ones like Mosses and Isaiah… and there is no need for prophets such as those… as The Word is complete… no more is to be added to it… thus no more Prophets as in old….
no we do not need a prophet.
we have the word of god and the holy spirit to guide and lead us.

the people who had prophets did not have the word of gd but had just parts of it.

satan does not have power over the church because of no priest
the holy spirit of god keeps satan out of the church and the holy spirit tells people the truth

the problem we have now is people do not have the holy spirit and make up their own teachings or believe lies. god said this would happen

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

the holy spirit tells us the truth
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

the people in the old testament did not have the holy spirit living in them as we do today as christians. no the LDS is not the one true church.

the true church is every believer who has called on jesus to save them and believe jesus rose from the dead, not a religion. romans 10:9-10
But that’s just me and my beliefs and I don’t look down on anyone who doesn’t happen to have my same beliefs. But it’s not cool how people make up rumors about us.
well, i met someone online a few months ago and we are committed to each other as if we were really together. i have no problem with this and don’t intend on cheating. we are going to meet.
but i was wondering what is defined as cheating in such a context. i mean, clearly many elements to the relationship are lacking. you haven’t even met yet. the reason why i ask this is because him and i got into a serious fight and he dumped me, or so it seemed, or got angry and gave me silent treatment, can’t really tell seeing as we’re not together! for a couple of weeks we were ”off”, then came back and in the mean time i chatted with 2 or 3 other guys on an non sexual site. he was still in my heart and i wanted him but out of anger i tried to move on. now i feel like i cheated.
what are your personal stories of how you connected with the person you met online, how long did it take you to meet, were they the same in person, and while you didn’t meet, have you gone with anyone else in reality (although you committed yourself to the person online- or not). i am a loyal girlfriend. it’s just the whole long distance and haven;t met yet dynamic is confusing my ideas of what i did was cheating and if we were together, would it be considered as such. thanks…

Here’s how me and my boyfriend met..

Well, my ex boyfriend and I had broken up a week or two before, and I realized that I was NOT going back to this loser. He was trying VERY hard to convince me to get back with him, but after being treated so bad and being cheated on, I was done. He had this friend, and while I was on AIM he was talkin to his friend on AIM also. He was telling his friend the story, and I asked him if he told him about the part where he hit me and cheated on me? and he was like "No." I then said "Fine, I will tell him since you won’t. What’s his SN?" I was not going to have him making me look like a fool. He then told me he would get his friend to IM me.

A few seconds later, I get an IM and I told him my side of the story. This was the day before Christmas Eve in ‘08. After telling him my side of the story, he told me how sorry he was and that if I needed somene to talk to or just wanted someone to listen, he would be there. I felt like I had met a new friend, and it was pretty cool. The next day was Christmas Eve. When I signed on AIM he sent me an IM telling me Merry Christmas Eve! and we just began talking again. Well, after talking for an extended period of time, it was quite obvious that we had a lot in common, and that we were starting to develop feelings for each other.

The next week, he admits to me how he feels, and I tell him how I felt. The end of the month (Jan 31st) We met in person, and it became official. We got together. We have been together ever since and I couldn’t be any happier. He treats me like a princess and is the best boyfriend. My family and friends adore him. of course, he dislikes my ex too. I would not have gotten with him if they were close, but him and my ex were just aquaintances.

So, that’s my story. Kind of ironic, but we are both extremely happy and make it work. We are seperated until next month, he is in the Air Force so he in Tech School. I stayed faithful even before we were official.

Best of luck!
I’ve had online friends, but never a romance. But why make a commitment to anyone that you haven’t actually met in the physical sense. It shows desperation from the both of you. I’m not discrediting your online emotional connection, but slow down and meet the person for real before worrying if you done any cheating.
You may not want anything to do with the person when you meet them, who knows. Could be some 60 year old pervert or some 9 year old jerking your chain.
I met my husband through yahoo personals. I used the online personal ads as a means to an introduction since I wasn’t meeting quality men in real life.

From the time that my husband contacted me the first time to our first meeting was 2 or 3 weeks. I wasn’t about to spend a lot of time and emotional energy in a cyber relationship.

What about adding a second dog?
I like the idea of a second dog. However, Im thinking that Im not sure as I would like to get a foster dog to start with, I like the idea of ‘trying out’ having a second dog without the longer term commitment but more so the fact that I ave the time to spend with a new dog, socialising etc and hopefully helping them get their ’special’ home that without a foster home they may not get. Have you done this before? How was it? Would you do it again? What do you think of this?

We had a foster pom (and we have a pom of our own). It it good to have another dog around so that your dog always has someone to play with. I would suggest, if possible, fostering a dog with like energy and similar size as the dog you have. The worst thing is letting the other dog go and not having any say in the people who adopt the dog.
Erika *mom to one fabulous pom* | Feb 05, 2010

I would get another dog because it would keep your other dog company whe no one is in the house and you would give a dog from the pound a new and better life instead of living in a cage. you could change a dogs life.
Which University of California campus do you think I can get accepted into based on my GPA?
Here are my grades:

World Literature- A
French- C
Algebra 2- A+
Drawing- A
Economics- A
Chemistry- A

They are all regular classes BTW.
My SAT score is 910, I know, it sucks.
The reason is because I didn’t study for the SAT, and took it "for fun", and didn’t sleep at all the night before.
I have volunteered AND worked for non-profit organizations.
I also joined a club in my school.

Here are my top choices for schools:
UCLA
UCI
UCSB
UCSD
UCD
UCB (I know, I don’t think I’ll make it there!)
UCR

please tell me which school (UC system) might accept me?
I regret not taking the SAT seriously.

I have a 3.6 GPA.

I am a high school senior, I never applied for any UCs, but based on the information I gave you, which school(s) might accept me?

I plan on going to a community college, but I’m just asking anyways.

I am planning to go to PCC, and major in Economics and minor in Political Science, what is a GOOD GPA for me to earn at PCC for me to transfer to one of the more prestigious UCs? Entering as a freshman, what are my chances?
Please answer ALL my questions to the best of your ability, thanks!

Did you dislike your French teacher?

Go to JC and get the grades you’ve been getting, except maybe try Spanish . The CAP program is a great 2nd chance, but it is all on you. Do not be tempted to slack by all the other students and your friends – none of them will go to UCB unless they knuckle up too. I went into UCB straight-away, but see now that JC would have been the more academically and economically sound way to go, if I had discipline. Get the discipline or else.

Still, do not stress about your undergrad school’s name. DO stress about your undergrad GPA. Keep it above 3.6 at the VERY least and plan on grad school.

 suedapooh | Jan 31, 2010

You have a pretty solid GPA. The C won’t look too good to highly-selective UCs like UCLA and UC Berkeley though.

Is your SAT score out of 2400? If so, then you should really consider retaking it because the average SAT score is 1500 (500 for each section).
Edit: nevermind, I read you plan on attending a community college, so it’s ok.

It’s hard to say which schools you would have a good shot at because they’re becoming pretty competitive these days. Probably UCR and UCD, *maybe* UCSB.

So, since you’re going to PCC (Pasadena City College I presume), you should aim for a 3.7 or 3.8 if you want to get into UCLA or another prestigious university. If you do the honors program at a community college, a lot of UCs have transfer agreements, so you should definitely look into that. UCLA doesn’t have guaranteed transfer agreements, but they do have "priority consideration" if you do the honors program. With UC Berkeley, you just have to apply like everyone else–no transfer agreement, no priority consideration, etc.

Entering as a freshman, it’s MUCH more competitive than applying as a junior.

If you have any more questions, your counselor at PCC will definitely help you out with everything.

Unfortunately for Austin, everyone is no longer sex-mad. Although he may be in a different decade, his mission is still the same. He has teamed up with Vanessa Kensington to stop the evil Dr. Evil, who was also frozen in the past. Dr. Evil stole a nuclear weapon and is demanding a payment of (when he realises its the 90’s) 100 billion dollars. Can Austin Powers stop this madman? or will he caught up with Evil’s henchman, with names like Alotta Fagina and Random Task? Only time will tell!

alienation in austin powers: international man of mystery?
i s there the aspect of alienation in this movie if so, how?

Yeah, Austin feels alienated when he is defrosted in the 90s. What was considered socially acceptable in the 60s is no longer acceptable in the 90s, but Austin doesn’t realise this until he has already made mistakes that make him feel alienated amongst his modern peers.
He’s a man from the sixties who’s been thrown into the nineties, of course he feels alienated!
