My political inspiration and role model…
I’m often called a ‘Neo-Con’ because I identify as a Conservative Republican. Not true at all. In fact my political inspiration and mentor is the late, great Senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona.

It is only because of Barry Goldwater’s Conservative ideology and memory that I still proudly call myself a Conservative Republican.
While researching material for this post I came across an inspiring speech from Ronald Reagan at the 1964 Republican National Convention. His words ring as true today as they did in ‘64. Seems wisdom and good sense are indeed timeless and never do go out of style. I’d like to share it with you. HERE’S Ronald Reagan from the ‘64 RNC Convention.

Democrats have a long history of fearmongering to win elections and that’s one of their earliest examples.
The fact is:
If Goldwater had won in ‘64 we wouldn’t be currently bankrupt under the crushing weight of the Democrat ‘Welfare State’ with its unsustainable debt load.
If Goldwater had won in ‘64 we wouldn’t be under the jackboot opression of the current Marxist\Socialist Thugs in the USA today.
If Goldwater had won in ‘64 we would have kicked ‘Charleys’ ass in ‘Nam.
If Goldwater had won in ‘64 we wouldn’t be working just to hand over our hard earned money to the Government in crushing tax burdens.
If Goldwater had won in ‘64 Fidel Castro would have been the first, life long guest at Club Gitmo.
If Goldwater had won in ‘64 we could have brought down the Soviet Regime 20 years earlier and peacefully.
If Goldwater had won in ‘64 we wouldn’t have ‘outsourced’ our whole damned economy and future elsewhere.
If Goldwater had won in ‘64 we wouldn’t be overrun with illegal aliens who take jobs, affordable housing and public services away from hard working, tax paying American Citizens.
If Goldwater had won in ‘64 we wouldn’t have a border problem–PERIOD!
If Goldwater had won in ‘64 September 11, 2001 would never have had a chance of happening–EVER!

It has often been said that in these dark hours and days we need another Ronald Reagan to lead us. I disagree. I firmly believe the Republican Party and America needs another Barry Goldwater. If the Republican National Committee would go back to enbracing Goldwater’s Conservative ideology we could not only begin winning elections again but we can win back the hearts, minds and trust of the American people.
If there was such a thing as a ‘Perfect Dream’ Republican Ticket for me it would have been Barry Goldwater as President and Ronald Reagan as Vice President. The would have been a Conservative’s hog heaven.
Rest in Peace Senator Barry Goldwater. THE BEST President we NEVER had. You are very dearly missed and will NOT be forgotten. You were a man of honor and dignity, a real class act. Something that’s extinct in todays political maelstrom.
