I’ve been asked many times why I blog? What is my purpose? What is it I hope to accomplish?
I look at my Blog as my public diary of thoughts, ideas, rants, views and ‘take’ of the issues facing the real world I live in. I sincerely want to add my voice to the public debate on the issues that matter to, and impact me, my family, friends and neighbors. The greater diversity of voices and opinion in any debate is healthy for a Democracy and yields the best results for the people.
I can’t say it any better then to paraphrase Charles Krauthammer on why…

History is being shaped by a war of ideas and I want to be in the arena. Not for its own sake. I enjoy intellectual combat, but I don’t live for it. I want to be in the arena because some things matter, some things need to be said, some things need to be defended.

Well put Charles, my sentiments exactly.
My Blogging style may best be described as Howard Stern meets Michelle Malkin meets Glenn Beck but my writing style should leave little doubt in the readers mind of exactly how I think and feel about things. General George S. Patton had the right philosophy on communication, give it to’em hard and dirty and they’ll remember it. It’ll stick in their minds.
Borrowing a thought from Dillon Thomas and putting my own special touch on it…

” I will not go gently into the night for I will fight the forces of darkness.
In the face of adversity I will stand strong.
In the face of criticism I will remain steadfast.
In the face of oppression I will stand for Liberty
In the face of insanity I will stand for reason.
In the face of treachery I will stand for honor.
In the face of Hypocrisy I will stand for Truth
In the face of Tyranny I will stand for Freedom.
I will not be one of the sheep of history meekly marching towards conformity and oblivion.
The defense of Liberty is neither burden nor chore but a Righteous and Just cause.
If Democracy is now borne upon the backs of meek sheep then Freedom will most certainly perish.
We must rise above mediocrity and face the forces of Darkness that confront us.
Those who would deprive us of our Liberty, Freedom and Democracy will never rest and neither shall I… Jennifer M. Cato, June 11, 2009
