i was wondering if the tail of a fantail fish would grow back after it being bitten off?
well, two i assume male of my fantails got into a little fight, i have seperated them.
my one of the two and a beautiful long tail and now my sisters fish has destroyed it, as it has one side of it’s tail normal and the other half to three quarters of original size, not only did i love his tail, but it kind of makes it harder for him to swim, is there anything i should do to help him swim better as well?

Yes, if you remove them from the fin biting situation the fins will eventually grow back

The fins and tail are fully regenerative tissue and should grow back virtually scarless, however if the damage had gone too far (all the way to the base of the tail) then there would be nothing for the tail to regrow from and the damage would be permanent.
