But a paranormal expert approaches Jonathan with the unlikely: the ability to hear his wife from beyond the grave. Through a form of unusual communication known as EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon), Jonathan will finally be able to see his wife. But in doing so, Jonathan has drawn himself into a much more complex situation when his curiosity becomes an obsession. Only that obsession will have him confront those not of this world, and some of them don’t approve of Jonathan’s interference with their destructive nature.

HAS ANY ONE USED IPHONE RECORDER PICKED UP STRANGE VOICES/noises?
I always use my iPhone to play white noise to sleep when I travel. It’s just too quite in hotel rooms to sleep. Three weeks ago I was in an older hotel in New York and of course. I had my phone with me. As usual I had left myself some voice notes for next days work on an extended voice recording app I had purchaed and then switched to the alarm / white noise player and fell asleep. Just this morning I noticed that my recorder registers a long amount of record time. I had not used the notes on the trip so I forgot about them.
But when I began playing those notes I had made three weeks earlier there are all kinds of strange noises left behind. I can hear myself moving in the bed or pulling on covers and a few times cleared my throat. But these are different. Strange noises sounds like from in the room or bathroom. There are about 28 mins all together. And they seem to stop when you can hear someone walking in the hallway and the sound of my paper bring shoved under the door.
I’m lost as to what they could be. Is it possible that the app I putchased started by itself and caught these sounds? I just tried to leave it on and switch to my alarm as I had that night and it shuts off every time. Lastly, the first began no more than 30 mins after the white noise maker shut down on it’s preset timer.
So is my iPhone or this recording app messed up? It was only 9.99 for the extended app so I can always erase and redownload or get a new one.
Has anyone else’s recorder started by itself or has your iPhone recorded strange noises?
This isn’t a joke so please only real answers no
ghost crackpots.

With those classes under her belt, she then takes over her aunt’s travel agency (again making her father think it’s his idea). She meets Ian Miller, a high school English teacher, WASP, and dreamboat she had made a fool of herself over at the restaurant; they date secretly for a while before her family finds out. Her father is livid over her dating a non-Greek. He has to learn to accept Ian; Ian has to learn to accept Toula’s huge family, and Toula has to learn to accept herself.

I want to put movies on my iPod and I searched
My Big Fat Greek Wedding on Limewire but none were
mp4s

Where can I find a save place for it?

limewire takes too long, and people search it,
i would advise downloading rea player for free off google, it allows you to download any movie/video you watch on your computer and takes less time.
then go on http://www.watch-movies-online.tv/ watch the movie and download it as you watch it or dont watch it and let it download, you will have to let the movie load first though 10-15minuites is the safest so you dont have to wait for it to load as u watch it, which gets really annoying.

anyone seen the movie Hotel Rwanda?
Why is Paul concerned about his family? What happens to his neighbors?

What conversation takes place at the hotel bar? How does this strike as odd?

Yes, I’ve seen the movie Hotel Rwanda numerous time, I have it on DVD. Amazing movie btw. First of all, the whole reason the genocide is breaking out in Rwanda is because there are two different "groups" of people. There are the Hutu’s (who are the ones who started the genocide) and there are the Tutsi’s (who the Hutu’s are slaughtering). At one point the Tutsi’s thought they were superior as they were basically the ‘upper class.’ Since then, Hutu’s are now of greater population and wanted to rid of all of the Tutsi’s. Without the identification cards to tell which is which, it was practically impossible for them to tell a Tutsi from a Hutu. Originally they would say that Tutsi’s were taller (hence the name ‘tall trees’ in the movie) and that they also had long pointy noses, while Hutu’s had small, fat noses. Honestly though, you couldn’t tell.

Paul was technically mixed as his mother was a Tutsi and his father was a Hutu. Because his father was a Hutu though, he was deemed Hutu as the child takes the identification of the father. The main reason Paul was worried for his families lives was because his wife was Tutsi, making their children mixed as well. Within the genocide, men and women alike were supposed to even kill their spouses and family members if they were of a different group. Also, because Paul was trying to keep other Tutsi’s safe, this was more of a reason for him and his family to be slaughtered piece by piece. As for his neighbors, he tries to save some of them by keeping them safe in his house, yet a lot of them are killed all the same. When his son witnesses the murder of his friend and his friends parents, it was because they were all Tutsi’s and he witnessed them being killed when he went to check on them.

As for the hotel bar conversation, I’m a little confused as there was more than one of these that took place. If you are referring to the conversation with Joaquin Phoenix, it was mainly the question of how to tell a Tutsi from a Hutu. While they try to explain the differences of height and features, Joaquin still can not tell the difference. The striking part about this conversation is that as much as they told him the ‘differences’ – when placed in front of two women (one being a Tutsi, one being a Hutu) he could not tell the differences at all to even guess. It was explained to him that the separation of Tutsi’s and Hutu’s was only created by the Belgian Colonist who created the distinction. Hopefully this helps you out, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask! =]

How to get my dad to back off?
Heya, I’m 21 and i really get on with my dad, hes like my best friend; the trouble is he is way to protective and sometimes it feels like he treats me like I’m 16 again.. My dad is a great guy and I know that he only cares about me, but when I say I’m going out he demands to know every deatil; who I’m staying with, where I’m going and it really is suffocating. I can’t afford to move out at the moment so am staying at home which is a problem as transport is limited. I was always the good stay at home daughter but now I just want to get out and live my own life away from parental consent. If I want to stay over at my bf’s for example and I tell them they won’t stop me but they’ll throw waves of negative comments my way and it really gets me down, espec as my bf is slightly older than me. It wears me down as it constantly feels I’m under their control which sucks because I’m 21. Like I said I know its because they care and dont want to see me hurt or cant imagine their little girl ‘doing things’, i just want to know how I can tell dad to back off without making him feel devalued. Talking to him doesnt work as he gets defensive and almost always ends in a row. Any ideas? Thanks

well is because he still see you like his Lil girl..but if you want sneak out of your house and have fun!
La_nena_boricua | Feb 07, 2010

I don’t know how long you and your boyfriend have been going out but if you guys have been going out for a little while maybe you can see if you might be able to move in with him. If you guys aren’t comfortable with that maybe you can try to rent a room for really cheap or stay with a friend. I think moving out and trying to get some space from your parents would be the healthiest thing for you to do.
Just talk to him. Tell him that you want to be independent in life, but explain that you understand why he is being protective.
If you don’t start being independent now, it will be harder later.
And don’t let their comments bother you, they should know that you are able to handle yourself responsibly and sensibly.
The best thing would definitely be to talk to him, and i can guarantee that most people will agree

As a web designer, should I create my website mock-ups in Photoshop, Firefox or Illustrator?
I meant Fireworks, not Firefox.

 Photoshop obviously.
Gabe | Feb 06, 2010

You can do some of the artwork in Illustrator and it will be scalable. But everybody who does mockups uses Photoshop. I don’t know of a way to design in Firefox.

I don’t do mockups. I’m different.
Angela Q | Feb 06, 2010

Why would you want to use Firefox? Firefox is — once again — the dedicated BROWSER component of the package currently called Seamonkey (though actually they simply replaced Seamonkey’s derived browser package with Firefox). Seamonkey, like Mozilla and Netscape from which they are both derived ultimately, has a component called Composer which is a simple wysiwyg web page builder. I wouldn’t JUST use it on any project but if I were working on a web site now, I would definitely have — the browser I am writing this in which is Seamonkey — open.

Again, Illustrator is scalable graphics and that can be a big advantage while you are figuring out the look of the page, but usually you will be working with some bitmaps so for a mock-up I would say photoshop.

Since the Liberals now claim there were no WMD in Iraq, should Clinton be charged for falisifying information?
he gave Bush?

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998.

"Together we must also confront the new hazards of chemical and biological weapons, and the outlaw states, terrorists and organized criminals seeking to acquire them. Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade, and much of his nation’s wealth, not on providing for the Iraqi people, but on developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them."
President Clinton, Jan. 27, 1998.

"Fateful decisions will be made in the days and weeks ahead. At issue is nothing less than the fundamental question of whether or not we can keep the most lethal weapons known to mankind out of the hands of an unreconstructed tyrant and aggressor who is in the same league as the most brutal dictators of this century."
Sen. Joe Biden (D, DE), Feb. 12, 1998

"It is essential that a dictator like Saddam not be allowed to evade international strictures and wield frightening weapons of mass destruction. As long as UNSCOM is prevented from carrying out its mission, the effort to monitor Iraqi compliance with Resolution 687 becomes a dangerous shell game. Neither the United States nor the global community can afford to allow Saddam Hussein to continue on this path."
Sen. Tom Daschle (D, SD), Feb. 12, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
Madeleine Albright, Feb. 18, 1998.

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb. 18, 1998.

"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq’s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998.

"As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998.

"Hussein has … chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
Madeleine Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999.

"This December will mark three years since United Nations inspectors last visited Iraq. There is no doubt that since that time, Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to refine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."
Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL) and others, Dec, 5, 2001.

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them."
Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002.

"We know that he has stored away secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.

"Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002.

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons…"
Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002.

"My position is very clear: The time has come for decisive action to eliminate the threat posed by Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mas

A couple of years ago I asked a question as to why people are saying Bush was lying about WMDs when Clinton himself brought it up. Here is that video that supports that question.

 The Bush administration knew truth:

But they decided to invade anyway.

FYI: We found no WMD’s in Iraq.
Every time I bring up Bush, I get shouted down: "That’s in the past. You can’t blame Bush anymore."

But you, my friend, are REALLY mired in the past.
I don’t recall CLinton showing satelitte images of "mobile labs" and discussing "mushroom clouds". Nor do I recall him sending in 160,000 troops and suffering 44,000 killed and injured…
An oldie, but a goodie.

When you have evidence of Clinton proposing going to war over these unsubstantiated weapons, then get back to me. Until then, your boy, Bush, is the one with the baggage.
No. Credit the intelligence community with providing false and inaccurate information to Clinton and then to Bush. Fault Bush for not waiting until the UN inspector had finished his job. Fault Bush for invading Iraq precipitously. Fault Bush for getting more than 4,500 of our young people killed needlessly.
Clinton didn’t invade a country unrelated to 9/11. He did not act rashly, he did not blow billions a month on a pointless war, and he did not turn our surplus into a 400 billion dollar deficit.

Obviously, Clinton was capable of reviewing information and analyzing it properly before doing something stupid. If only Bush Republicans had tried the same tactic.
President Clinton did not start a war with Iraq. Shrubya’s legacy is one of idiocy.
