Is it just me, or does V have a very similar story to Earth Final Conflict?
Earth Final Conflict was a Gene Roddenberry show that was on for a couple years back in the late ’90s. The story was about aliens who come to Earth and bring technology and medicine and life is great. But some people worry they have an ulterior motive. Isn’t that the same story as V?
Actually, V is a remake of a 1983 miniseries of the same name. So, you could say that Gene Roddenberry took some elements from V.

V was closer to Alien Nation which ran about the same time when they both came out in the 90s .. I liked Alien Nation better.
