The unique perspective gives a much truer and mind blowing sense of the huge expanses of bush. The US ambassador, Jerry Lanier, said the project would renew and preserve the Acholi culture. “This multi-stage project will document recorded oral history, collect archeological objects and photographs, and visit cultural sites in northern Uganda,” Lanier said. The signing of the contract, which took place at the Ker Kwaro Acholi headquaters on Friday, was witnessed by religious and cultural leaders and officials from the US embassy. The project will include production of booklets, trail maps, cultural kits and DVDs for use in tourism and education. Traditional handicrafts, arts and cultural ceremonies will be re-established and sacred cultural sites reconstructed to benefit the community. gorilla safari uganda
