Should we halt all relief efforts to Haiti?
It seems like they have rewarded our kindness by taking 10 of our citizens hostage. How ungrateful. Will the stars in Hollywood work as hard to condemn this injustice as they did to raise money to help the people who are now holding our people hostage.
Those 10 people broke a very, very serious international law. You cannot, under any circumstances, go into any foreign country and take citizens of that country out of there without proper documentation. It’s difficult to believe that out of the 10 people, not a single one of them is aware of international laws such as the one stated above. It’s just common sense when you think about it.
To put this into perspective for you, what do you think would happen if ten foreigners came into the USA and tried to take American citizens out of the country without proper documentation? They would also be arrested and charged as well. Just because you are Americans, it does not exempt you from international laws.

They didn’t take 10 people hostage. They captured 10 people who were breaking laws regarding the stealing of children .
Why do so many Americans think they can go to another country and ignore the laws there . When you leave American soil you are subject to the laws of whatever sovereign nation you go to, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!!!!
Have you actually given to Haiti ? Have you volunteered there ? Or are you just spouting nonsense ?
It seems these people were warned and chose to ignore the warnings about breaking Haiti’s laws .

the U.S. and organizations have poured billions into that garbage dump with absolutely no results worth mentioning. you apparently thing breaking the law is justified because of money.
