What's the PROOF for global warming, climate change, or whatever "scientists" are calling it now?
It gets hot when the sun comes out and cool when it goes down. In the winter when we’re farther from the sun it’s obviously cooler. In the Earth’s history it has been both much colder and much warmer than it is now. These are all facts. Why should we believe that any slight changes that happen are somehow catastrophic and worth hurting the economy, hurting our businesses, raising taxes, sending jobs overseas and raising energy costs? Why are those that promote these theories so afraid to entertain the idea that this has to do with solar activity? As the average world temperatures have not gone up recenty, people that support the idea of "global warming" have changed to calling it "climate change" which seems to show that they have no clue what they’re talking about. Given the natural fluctuations in temperature, isn’t this just an evil way to politicize a natural occurance and wouldn’t the temperatures have went up more in recent years as China and other growning Countries create much more "greenhouse gases"? What is so bad about "greenhouse gas" anyway. A greenhouse works the way it does because it is built using glass, a solid, not a gas. Wouldn’t gas function more like a "screenhouse" and release heat faster? How exactly is Carbon Dioxide, a gas necessary for all plant life, a horrible thing?
Wow, congratulations to the really smart people that pointed out that winter has more to do with the angle of the Earth than the distance difference. I never said it didn’t have to do with the angle of the Earth however the hemisphere where there is winter is technically further away so it’s not incorrect. This isn’t a published article so I’m sorry I didn’t make myself clearer, or spend hours combing over my words, but I thought people would spend more time answering the questions than trivially editing them. I thought people were smart enough to identify the point that natural occurances cause drastic and quick temperature changes and solar phenomena shouldn’t be dismissed. Let this be a lesson to others that question global warming, you will not find proof, facts, or even much evidence from this cult because they don’t have any, rather you will just find childish name calling and corrections of minor semantics. Behold the new science, where name calling is the new proof.
Here’s a link to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Greenland ice core findings and it puts things into perspective. Just think how much money Gore could make and how much power his party would have if we were actually in the process of a major natural fluctuation. Please explain what major industry caused the warming periods which dwarfed the current period, long before the "evil oil companies" came on the scene.

Hey knucklehead. Your childish disdain for something you cannot even define is bad enough – but the seasons (e.g., your winter "cool") have nothing to do with the earth’s distance from the sun. It is related to the earth tilting on its axis.
That is pathetic and you really should be embarrassed. You might want to delete this question before too many people start laughing at you.

Seasons happen because of the directness of the sun’s rays, not proximity to the sun.
Really, do yourself a favor and read some science instead of political blogs.

Yeah, yeah; it’s been climate change at least as long as there’s been an International Panel. the "name change" is just the stupidest of the denialist lies.
The second stupidest is that temperatures have not gone up recently.
The third stupidest is that climatologists haven’t taken solar fluctuations into account.
The fourth stupidest is that the changes coming down the line are too minor to bother about
The fifth stupidest is that since CO2 is necessary for plant life (true), more CO2 can’t be a bad thing.
