its almost 3 AM and i just got back home. here we go again...karma... if u do good things then good things will happen to you. i feel good cause i think i have done a good thing tonite. 3 years ago when i was in romania, a hungarian dude showed me much kindness. i was a foreigner travelling alone in a strange land. one who didnt know anything such as US dollars is not accepted as common currency in romania. this hungarian guy who was part of the autobus crew that was transporting me from hungary to romania befriended me and bought me some drinks cause i didnt have any romanian money. he didnt make much money, yet took pity on a complete stranger. i never forgot that small act of kindness. all this week we had a guy from mexico come to train in my department. tomorrow is his last day here. i felt sorry for him because here he was in america but was stuck at work all day and at the hotel all alone all night. he was in the top 10 most desirable places to live in the US but didnt get a chance to really experience it. last night my homeboy and i was supposed to take him out. frankie was on the way to pick him up and take him to the club. i asked him to call me when he arrived at the club so that i can meet him there. apparently there was some confusion cause frankie thought i was gonna meet them there automatically. anyways i waited at my crib for them and called frankie's mobile at midnight. no body picked up the phone. so my reasoning was that frankie went to the mexican's hotel, but the mexican was either asleep or didnt feel like going after all. today i found out that they were waiting there for me. frankie said he didnt hear the phone ring cause it was too noisy there. so today i told the mexican i was gonna make it up to him and take him to 6th street, which is the party district in austin. the mexican called me at 9 pm and i told him i was gonna pick him up in 20 mins. well i missed the exit and passed the hotel and by that time it was already 40 minutes after he called me. i parked at the next business past the hotel and waited for him in front. 20 minutes passed by and i was getting worried. i didnt know the dude's hotel room number or his last name cause his last name wasnt such a common one. i decided to take a chance and ask the desk clerk if they can find out a resident by only their first name. miraculously she picked up the phone and dialed his room straight away. i have no idea how the heck she did that. well we finally made it to 6th street and just kinda bounced around from club to club. eventually we made our way to "coyote ugly", yes just like the movie. i bought him a drink and we proceeded to watch the show. the bartenders were just like in the movie. they got on the bar and danced in front of customers. 5 drinks later we were both feeling pretty good. he really seemed to enjoy the place. he said he wanted a souvenier to prove to his friends in mexico that he was really in the real "coyote ugly". well i did something that i thought was pretty cool. i bought him a coyote ugly t-shirt and asked one of the female bartenders to sign it. i explained to her he was from mexico and that he was leaving tomorrow. she asked all of the other female bartenders to sign the shirt also. u should have seen his face as he proudly wore the t-shirt. he said this was all like a great dream, and i had shown so much kindness to him that he couldnt believe. his face beamed so brightly and said that he will never forget tonite. later on i told him that i was just repaying an act of kindness that the hungarian had shown to me. i told him that now he also must show an act of kindness to a stranger if he was able. we stayed until closing and had befriended some ppl. i talked 2 older chicks visiting from wisconsin that if they got up and danced on the bar, i would buy them both drinks. i was shocked when they actually did and the older and chunkier one eventually took her bra off. if u dont know anything about "coyote ugly", only women are allowed to dance on the bar with the bartenders. if ur brave enough, u can also take off ur bra and hang it on the shelves where they display empty bottles and stuff. there were several hundreds of bra's already there. they danced for 30 minutes and when it was done i proceeded to buy them both drinks. it took alot of guts for 2 really old chunky women to dance in front of strangers in a crowded bar. props to them. they looked like they had so much fun. all in all i had the best night that i had in such a long time. if everyone can show random acts of kindness... the world would really be a much better place. in the middle of writing this blog, i had to go to the sink and vomit. forealz i was that drunk. i calculated that i had over 11 red bulls and vodka's? lol. it was a miracle i didnt throw up when he was in the truck with me. i came really close to losing it. lol. anyways yall have a wonderful day and takes cares. peace out.

| Have you ever seen the movie 'Pay it forward? It's a great movie with Helen Hunt, Kevin Spacey and a little guy who acted in 'Sixth sense' with Bruce Willis. I recommend this movie to you. The little guy finds out a way to spread goodness all over the world with practising little acts of kindness to an unknown person, you meet, and in return they have to do the same with another person. It is one of my favourite films. | |||

| I still say over here's hotter. It was 39 here yesterday which, if my memory serves me is 102.2 over there. Its not so much the heat but... it's the humidity that kills it.
It's not so bad today though. Hope you and your hangover are doing well. Take it easy, xKittyx Edited by Kit on Nov. 11, 2005 at 8:17 PM
