it was the best game i had ever seen... a nail biter til the end. Texas 41, USC 38. all experts agree that they had witnessed the best college football player of all time. 467 total offense yards. 3 touchdowns. i never expected vince young to be capable of such a performance. i never really liked him and thought he was over-rated, but tonite he proved me wrong... he delivered. The National Champions... The University of Texas Longhorns. the game finished almost at midnight again and i knew what i had to do afterwards. i and tens of thousands of other Texas fans headed to the University of Texas Campus. all roads were blocked off so i had to park about a mile away and walk with the throngs of other people. it looked like a sea of burnt orange (the school colors). the noise was deafening. traffic was bumper to bumper with everyone honking their horns and flashing the Hook'em sign. i knew that i would be a part of history. apparently so did everyone else. lol. rumour had it that at the University Co-op, national championship T-shirts and accessories were gonna be sold. i and tens of thousands other waited impatiently until 1 AM when they finally opened the Co-Op doors. they only let 50 at a time go in so as not to overload the store. i wasn't able to get in the store until almost 2 AM. making inside the store didn't solve all of my problems, the prized National Championship T-shirts with the score printed on the back quickly sold out. new shipments would arrive every 30 minutes. i wasn't able to claim my prize until 3:30 AM! i bought a National Championship hoody pullover, beanie, and 2 National Championship T-shirts. grand total for such few items.... $124!!! sigh... a small price to pay for history. well its almost 4 AM now and i gotta drag my ass to work at 6 AM. say some prayers for me cause i'm gonna need it. its insane but i'm still too pumped up to sleep. lol. take care everyone and have a wonderful day. ciao~
