i want to save the world.

i want to help everyone that needs help.

i want to comfort all who needs comforting.

i want to cheer up all who is sad.

i want to give love to all who needs love.

i want to befriend those who needs a friend.

i have a friend who is a single mum with two children, ages 8 and 3.

she calls me when she is out and about running errands with her children.

no matter how difficult life treats her, she always puts on a happy face in front of her children. she never stops showing them how much they are loved.

today as she was driving them to buy school supplies... i heard this conversation:

"who are you going to take care of when you become rich?", she asks the eldest son.

"you mum", the eldest son replies.

"and who else?", she says.

"and grandmum", he says.

"and who else when your mum and grandmum are gone?", she asks him.

"(younger brothers name)", he replies.

what i just heard was so beautiful that it made me so choked up with emotion that i couldn't stop the tears that were forming in my eyes. for such a young child of 8 years of age to know the importance of family, and to understand how much love his mum has given him is the best feeling in the world.
