I am so upset right now. My sister broke the good skateboard and I of course am up to my head in bills and I can't afford to buy another one until Chritmas time! We have another crappy one, but that one is like the "death" board, the wheels are all messed up due to a seriously failed grind.  I am so mad! I am so sad.

I read a really neat article about Philly Boy Stevie Williams. He came from nothing and made himself into something thanks to a skateboard, good friends, street knowledge & dedication. I  love to read stories about the struggles people go thru to make it. It just stands as a reinforcement that hardword and dedication do actually pay off. I also loved that he can actually admit when he was wrong, and the fact that he knew he had to make changes in his life to make it. Thanks Stevie, from a skater girl from Philly, you are a true inspiration.

I am sitting here at work, mourning my broken board. I am going to have to figure something out and get some extra cash. I guess the fact that I have a second job and am still broke SUCKS MAJOR BALLS. but oh well. I'll just spend my time without a board, visualizing my skate sessions.

Last night was my day off from my 2nd job. I had these great ideas of coming home, cooking dinner, watching tv, taking a late afternoon nap, cleaning up a bit, ironing clothes. Did any of this happen?  NO! WHY? because my Great-Uncle was having heart problems, then his grandson (my cousin) was admitted to the hospital because he has asthma really bad and his medication was giving him high-blood sugar, and his kidney's were all messed up. Talk about insane and to top it off. My Grandmom was acting like a Princess and wanted all the attention. The woman is so contrary it is sad. But I did get to watch Prison Break & Laguna Beach, I drank a pint of Guiness and a half a bottle of wine, and quietly passed out face first in the pillow. Talk about a good night's sleep.
