I Have a Tendency to Make Myself Laugh | |
8 Bridesmaids, 1 Bride, 6 BumsIt’s been quite some time since my last post. I have been really busy and am so sorry to have neglected you all for so long… so how’ve ya been? I’m well thanks for asking. This is probably the longest time I have go without posting. I have so much to say but I don’t want to write so much that you give up on reading it all. So please bear with me and I will do my best to only write necessary facts. So we are going to jump right into the best blog entry ever… are you ready??? Well ready or not here we go! I guess it’s only right to start with the big wedding. From Thursday thru Saturday my days were consumed with nothing but Dave and Jessica’s wedding. Thursday was an all day bachelorette party. We started getting our nails done… well I started calling a locksmith… yes I did… and feel free to laugh. I locked my keys in my car… outside the Simmons… in the middle of the street… while it was still running. Smooth I know. After we got the door open Mel, Pastor LaTonya, Aysia and I went to the nail salon… well we tried to but our directions were faulty. By luck (or the Lord) we saw Dave (well Aysia did) driving down the street. He turned around and showed us the place. So after all that we got to the nail place at 11… 2 hours later then the itinerary instructed us to be there. Well then there was a lot of waiting to get our nails done. When everyone was finally done we went to the Reynolds’ to eat lunch and then went to the new outlet mall. In short that outlet mall was a real disappointment. It was hardly discounted. Anyway then we went out separate ways. Jess, Ashley and Amy went to the spray on tan place. Tara, Aysia and Pastor LaTonya went home. And Mel and I went back to my house to try on my dress (I had just got it back from being altered). Then we all met back at the Reynolds house and had dinner. Then we played the best game ever invented. I have yet to name it so for now we will call it “The Cube of Truth and Adventure” I like that title. Pretty much all you do is take this Styrofoam cube that we wrote things on and you tell a story based on what you role. Like favorite childhood story, most embarr***ing story, and favorite Jessica story. Needless to say we learned a whole lot we didn’t know about Jess from her sister Amy. It was a fun game… props to me for inventing it. The next day was the rehearsal… that was fun but not really much worth writing about. Then came Saturday… wedding day. Mel and I got up in time (that’s a large feat alone if you know me) then we went to the Women’s University Club where we were holding the reception to get ready. Again there are loads of stories but so little blog room. Long story short we got ready and we all looked hot. Then we got our pictures taken. I think it will be funny to look at the pictures because the fountain we took everything by was beautiful. But what you won’t see in the pictures is the fact that we are surrounded by bums… yes bums. Watching us and one of them even taking pictures with his disposable camera. It was just really funny to me; this beautiful scenery with Jess in her gown and all us bridesmaids with our dresses and… six bums… just chillin with a camera. It also smelt like urine… yeah that wasn’t as funny… well not at the time. Anyway after pictures we went to the church and waited. Then… it happened… Dave and Jess got married. I literally cried the entire ceremony. I even let out a whimper. I was mocked the entire time by the whole line of groomsmen; who would randomly come up behind me and let out a sob for the rest of the night. Then we had the reception… and tons more pictures. I sang for the reception… and guess what… I sang quietly… and pretty. For those of you who have heard me sing… I’m kinda a loud mouth. I was very proud of my controlled singing. And before we knew it the night was over. Dave and Jess went out to the truck and rode off into the sunset. I have to stop and say that Jess was absolutely beautiful. I mean breath taking. I’m so happy for them. Though to any average person I seemed devastated that they were getting married… I wasn’t it was just so surreal. I’m so excited for them. And I love them deeply. The wedding was a success and they rock. HEY DAVE AND JESS… HAVE KIDS SOON! Then there was Sunday… Sunday was good. Praise and worship went well. It was Jo-Anna’s last Sunday. I was kinda disappointed because as soon as church was over she left. I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye… oh well I shouldn’t have expected anything different. That’s kinda just how Jo-Anna is. Minister Paul did a good job blending in that day too. Jo picked a really hard song for the band to play and he just jumped in and played along. It was nice. Then I had to say goodbye to the Hayashis… sad day. But they drove back alright. It was so good to see them… I love them. Hopefully in the near future I will be doing a blog entry from (gasp) a different state. That would rock… I’m gonna make that happen. Then I went home… and slept… for 8 hours. Monday, Monday, Monday… what did I do Monday? Oh right, I stapled… I hate doing that. Anyway that’s why I didn’t write yesterday… I was stapling… woo hoo… yeah right. Tuesday… what did I do Tuesday… I worked and… Oh I finished the 6th Harry Potter book! Wow it was good, but not until chapter 22. Everything leading up to that was kind of slow/boring. But it needed to be like that. It was a lot of set up. But now… well I can’t for the last book… it’s gonna rock. Someday soon (hopefully) I will write about my Harry Potter theories… I will wait of course for this book to be out for longer than 72 hours before I ruin the whole thing for you. Anyway that was a BIG part of my Tuesday. I also had a great rehearsal. I really like Minister Paul. He’s a cool dude. He can play anything. We stayed after practice and went over songs that he didn’t know. It was funny cuz I would sing old songs and he would just kind play along. He’d ask me if what he was playing was right and to be honest I would tell him it wasn’t. But the cool thing about it was that now all our songs sound new cuz he plays them so different… it’s refreshing. Anyway that was my Tuesday. You are all updated. If you read this whole thing it’s a miracle of God. You all deserve a cookie. Linz Leave a Comment .. Trackback { Last Page } { Page 163 of 203 } { Next Page } |
