I Have a Tendency to Make Myself Laugh | |
I Love the Rice Game!Well, well, well, we are back here at the blogs again! This morning was absolutely divine! I allowed my self to sleep in an extra half hour this morning (I can live with dirty hair for a day) and I woke up so rested. It felt so good to roll over and hit the snooze on my alarm. I could have stayed in bed all day… but not really. I guess I could just stay in bed until 9… yeah 9 sounds right. Hey, I’ll settle for 8 though… that was just superb! I had an awesome night last night! Our church threw it’s big harvest party and it was the bomb (I haven’t said that in years…). My favorite part of the night (well one of them) was this kid named Josiah. He was dressed up as Jesus. He had the robe, the hair, the beard… and his hands… had red dots on them. Oh yeah, Jesus had the holes! Well service started a bit early as always and I had my all kids praise and worship team. They were so cute! So I’m just minding my own business worshiping and whatnot when I notice that Jesus is making his way up the stairs and onto the stage. Now who am I to rush Jesus off the stage? I let him come up and Jesus became my official “Hype Man” of the night. He would point at people, lift up his “nail pierced” hands and… well Jesus has some interesting dance moves. I couldn’t contain my laughter at times. He was so funny! Service was good and after the word and parade of costumes it was time to play the games. My game was the rice game. It’s times like these that again remind me how competitive I am. All I could think about was “does my game have the biggest line?” For the most part it did! I also talked tons of trash that night. I had the game to back it up though. Every game I played I won. So what if I bet a 3 year old… I still won. Oh yeah, I need help, I know! After church I went home and had an amazing conversation, hung out with my roommate, and went to bed. Which brings us to the top of the entry… I’m so glad I slept in. Well that is all I have. I guess all I can do is leave you with another Linz original letter. Enjoy! Linz Dear Mean Man Who Answered His Phone When I Called, Hello sir. Today I called your fine business establishment to get your address so I could send you information regarding your printers. However, when I called your tone, manner, and words were especially unkind. Please bear in mind that I was simply doing my job. If you weren’t interested in receiving mailers from my fine company you could have simply told me so. Please know that your rude comments and disrespectful banter was not only uncalled for, but also unappreciated. Also remember sir that you reap what you sow. So next time you are trying to grow your business and some little blonde girl gets catty with you just remember; you asked for it. Thank you for your time, Lindsey Taylor Leave a Comment ..
