Wow… I’ve been looking forward to writing my blog all morning. Why? I’m not sure. There really wasn’t anything amazingly awesome to write about. Oh well here it comes (cue the music) my weekend review!

Friday: You all know how I feel about Fridays. Today, however, wasn’t much of a date day. We decided to have a Christmas party for all of our pastor’s kids to reward them for allowing their parents to serve God’s house the way they do. The party was so much fun. Vincent and I picked up some kids and went to the Simmons’ house. Once we were there we put in a movie and the older boys played video games. We ate pizza and make ginger bread houses too! It was a blast! There was a new development in the Caleb “Wipe my butt” saga. Yes if you don’t know what I’m talking about skip back a few months and read the story. It’s funny! Well on Friday Caleb decided he had to go #2. When he told me I knew that I would be the one to wipe his butt. I wasn’t going to make Vincent do it and the only other “grown ups” there were Wiley and his friend Mitch. So really I was his only option. So there we were in the bathroom: Caleb on the toilet and me leaning on the door. Then he says it, “Lindsey Parkers you only have to wipe my butt one time! Then never again”. The little sucker was making deals with me over wiping his butt. I just laughed at him. Then he looks at me and says, “I don’t have to go anymore. It sucked back up”. So yes I dodged another bullet in the butt-wiping department… until next time little boo boo. Dartavious was also hysterical at the party. For those of you who don’t know Dartavious (or Tay Tay) is one of my favorite children ever! We bonded one service over collecting all of the blonde hairs that I had shed on my sweater. Ever since then Tay Tay has been my little buddy. We have grown so close that he calls me his best friend. Well now that Vincent is in the picture Tay feels a little… well jealous. Thursday night he and Aysia (his sister) got in an argument over whether Vincent was my boyfriend or not. When Pastor LaTonya told Tay that he was in fact my boyfriend Tay cried, “BUT I THOUGH I WAS HER BEST FRIEND!” Oh the things children say. So at the party he asked me if Vincent was my boyfriend. I told him that he was and asked him if he was okay with that. He said that it was okay cuz Vincent is nice and Godly; but you could tell that he was still a little hurt. Every time I would talk to Vincent (or even just put my hand on his shoulder) Tay would come up and give me this huge hug. It’s as if he was saying, “don’t forget me!” It was cute… he’ll just have to get use to us. After the party Vincent and I hung out for a bit and then it was back home for some much needed sleep.

Saturday: Well this Saturday was my Metro Kidz day! We had a good time and Gina who has taken it over did her best job yet! We talked about self-control and bus/church rules. The kids were really receptive and we had a blast. After Metro I went home and got ready for our churches staff Christmas party. WU and I showed up a bit late but it was fun. For the white elephant gift we gave a coloring book and crayons. We received… zip lock bags… no thanks to the Calvins. After the party Vincent and I headed back to his dorm room to work on our puzzle. We didn’t get much done (it’s 1,000 pieces and its Thomas Kinkade!). It’s definitely a difficult puzzle.

Sunday: Was busy as usual! Church was great, the alter call was overwhelming!

Side Note: Pastor Julia always gets on this kick at the end of the year and I love it. I just have to take a second to ask you this: Have you accomplished everything you wanted to this year? Did you kick that habit? Reunite with that friend? Get back in the gym? Fix your financial issues? Grow more in God? Remember that this year isn’t over yet. What God has for you it is for you! Don’t sign 2005 off yet you still have 27 days to go. Remember that this year isn’t over yet. Those things that you purposed in your heart to do can still be done. We serve a big God!

Back to Sunday: After church I went home, changed and went to Lindsay’s birthday party. It was a great party. The food was bomb! The Andersons know how to work that breakfast thing out! I had two waffles (with strawberries and whipped cream), eggs, potatoes, bacon, chips and a brownie with ice cream for dessert. It was splendid. Then WU and I left to go work on the puzzle again (oh the things we do WU). I have to tell you we tore up on the puzzle last night. We finished our edges and even put some middle together. What an accomplishment! After we puzzled for a bit he took me home… but no one was there and I hate being there alone so we talked in the car for a while before I went up and went to bed.

That brings me to right now! Today! This morning wasn’t much of a morning. I’m not seeing anyone that I don’t feel any pressure to look good so my hair is dirty and hidden under my black knit beanie (that hair style allows me to sleep in 30 extra minutes). I did a bit of stapling and now have nothing to do for the rest of the day (and it’s only 12:15). A bit of Jamie Cullum does make the day go by faster though. I’m not too sure what the rest of my day will hold. I think it will just be a whole lot of waiting… starting now. Squidamadoo. Linz

She's throwing a tantrum!

Since no one is posting on her blog, the princess is boycotting any further posts until she hears from us! Sorry, I thought we had raised her to be less selfish. Vincent, see what you can look forward to.

My mother has a tendency to be slightly dramatic. I only said that I had the distinct impression that no one reads anymore (with the exception of Vincent, my mother and Carefree). So if I'm wrong let me know cuz I have nothing to say really. However, if you holding your breath waiting for me to post... it would be nice to know. While I’m sure that this sounds a bit self conscience you must understand that when it comes to my blog I only want to write about things that matter (or things that don’t matter so much that it’s entertaining). Regardless… I have nothing to say. Linz
