I Have a Tendency to Make Myself Laugh

During my myspacing I decided to check out one of my friends blogs. She wrote (quite poetically) about her most recent heartbreak. To be honest I don’t care how pretty you write about it… this girl has a tendency to get herself in these messes quite often. Her blog was about how love had given up on her. It really got me thinking about love, how we view it, and what it really is. In our society we see love as many different things. We view it as our family, as romance, as sex, as friendships. It’s really just whatever you crave you love. In fact we throw that word around a lot LOVE. But do you really know what it means? What is the purpose for love? Why you crave it? Now if you are a regular reader of my blog you already know where I’m going with this. We (and by we I mean Christians) so easily forget that love isn’t any of those things. God is love. Bottom line, no ifs ands or buts about it. Love is the very nature of God. In fact love is probably God’s middle name! Am I saying that you can’t have pure love without God? Yes! I’m not sorry if that upsets you, I’ve had this talk with people many times, but that is one thing I know to be true and it has been proved to me over and over again. Am I saying that you can’t deeply care for someone without God? No, because we are creatures that crave relationship. However, if you wish to find perfect love you wont find it in a club, or online, or at a party. Love is really inside of you, or waiting to be invited inside of you. Am I saying that you can’t find your soul mate without God? No, because I’ve seen it happen before. However, you wont be able to experience that perfect love without Him.

Why am I writing about all this stuff? I don’t know. I think I just needed to vent a little bit. I really have nothing else to say but God loves you; and He so desperately wants to be with you. He just wants a relationship, that’s all… is that too much to ask? Linz
