I Have a Tendency to Make Myself Laugh

This One You Can Blame on Shash

          Ah… Shash… No she didn’t win. The winner is… well you will have to wait for that post now wont you? But I do have to make a comment about something that was written on my board yesterday by my friend Shash. See Shash and I were talking last night after my buddy Tim’s graduation party. For those of you who don’t know I have two incredible best friends… and as luck… or Jesus would have it I will be kinda losing a part of both of them within the next month or so. See my buddy Mel (whose alias on this blog I will not mention) will be moving… pretty much any day now (we don’t know) and my sister Jess will be getting married in nearly 4 weeks. So my friend Shash and I are driving home from the party that was quite emotional because of the Mel’s family moving (by the way Tim is Mel’s brother). And she asked me how I felt about Melissa moving and Jess getting married seeing that they are (obviously) my two best friends. So I’ll have you know that during the emotional times of the party I didn’t cry; but then at the moment I lost it. I know that where God is taking Mel and her family is somewhere amazing. I am excited for them to step up on to that next level that He has preordained for their family. But to be honest I am so sad that they are leaving. When I first found out that they might be moving I prayed so hard against it. But I knew even then that it was God and that eventually it was going to happen. And I know that Mel and her family will always be there for me… just now to see them it will be a longer drive. As for Jess she’s not going anywhere. She is, however, opening up a new chapter of her life with an incredible guy. I am so excited for her to be a wife and have babies (so that I can play with them). But a part of me hurts too. Because all the things that we used to do together may not work out with her new living situation (I doubt Dave will allow weekly sleepovers at Lindsey’s). But here’s the happy part, the testimony if you will. God is so good that He would bring His comforter in to encourage you. Even though to the world and to people just watching my life it may seem that I am in the process of losing two of the most amazing friends I’ve ever had; they are wrong. Yes, my friends are moving on with their life; which does mean that I will be seeing less of them. But like Shash said they make a “dent” in your life. And you know I will still see and hang out with Jess all the time. And I will visit Mel as often as I can. But the one friend that matters will never leave. Jesus will always be there to hold your hand when you feel like everyone has gone somewhere else. And isn’t funny that Jesus will be the one that will keep my relationship with Mel and Jess strong. Even if I never see Mel again (which is highly doubtful) or if I never hang out with Jess after the wedding (again… doubtful) because of Jesus our relationships will always run deep. So I guess this long entry has been a sort of salute to Jess and Mel.

          You two are amazing women of God and I am so happy that God is taking you to that next level. I will always love you and cherish the times we have spent together. Whether it be watching awful movies (like that Madonna movie) or eating lunch in Noah’s. I will always remember all the great times we have had together. I’m not kidding… I’m seriously not kidding…
