Jan. 21, 2006 - Another Opportunity For Me To - -
Unleash another horrifying poem onto you poor souls.
Grand Opening
One by one
The buildings open their doors
On the public strip mall
Uncaring, unthinking
Of how buisness will be later
Shoppers come, most leave soon
But they only want the merchandise
The mercandise that settle their needs
The building just holds them
Nothing more, they think
I keep my store closed
I fear of burglers
They steal, they plot there scheme
They won't break in my building
I'll make sure of that
But I have little security
Only a few flimsy locks
When easily picked
Can be penetrated
And the merchandise picked clean of stock
Now and then, shoppers walk by
Many look outside the building
Hoping to catch a glimpse of the building inside
I turn them away
With only a lost hope of entering
I keep watch of my store
Guard it with all my life
Many shoppers wonder why it is
I never open it
Or even let them take a peek within
I sigh at this question
Surprised that only a few
Other shopkeepers remain closed
Just as I have
With the same method as I, too
I await only one customer
The others can continue walking by
This one customer, one day
Shall come by my building
And come to care about it, not the merchandise
He will already have the key
To the few flimsy locks
If he asks, I'll give him enter willingly
Just be careful with the merhandise
If you like it, have it, it's free
