In Response to the comment about no names or places
Hi, yeah, I am much older than 17. About the names and places: It has been advised by the army that we are to try and keep everything as OPSEC as possible. (This stands for Operational Security, if anyone was wondering.) This means who I am, where my husband is stationed, his rank, etc. are not to be published. As for my style of writing: this blog isn't meant to be a novel. Hello, it's an online blog. I went to school for journalism; my professional writing is pretty good, but I do not feel that I have to be prim, proper, and professional on my own weblog. If you don't like my style of writing, then don't read it. Thanks. I don't give a scheisse about you reading the blog anyways. |

from a Soldier's wife
I commented a few nights ago, on insomnia I think, anyway... I'm not sure if it is just a difference between the Guard and the "real" Army but securities are not quite that tight. From what we discuss at FRG meetings and CP briefings, you are just not supposed to give away the soldier's position or discuss any particulars about their maneuvers.
There are plenty of soldiers (marines, airmen, and seamen, too) that have their own blogs and talk about what they do and where they are (generally, not specifically).
Just thought you'd like to know this stuff so you can ease-up a little if you want to. If you want to.
Also... Where'd you go for journalism? Why didn't you finish? (Maybe should ask "when did" you finish but usually people say "I have a B.A. in Journalism" when they have finished and "I went to school for Journalsim" when they haven't finished.
Thanks for you blog, I enjoy having something else to read during the day. The blogs of my friends are fun and all, but sometimes it is noce to get a glimpse into a world unknown to you. Thanks |
