husband home/ first injuries for company overseas
My husband has been home for a few days. It has been great having him home. Our kitties love him! Things up to tonight have been well...but we got some news tonight. The "phone tree" was activated. My husband's group overseas got attacked and two of his closest friends were injured. One was his roommate and best friend over there. He will be coming home for good and has some heavy duty recovering to do. The other should be going back to his unit after some rehab. My husband is taking it personally. I know it is really difficult for him right now, but I cannot even begin to understand what he is going through. It was on a whim that he decided to take his leave when he did, and it was (we think) his truck that got hit. He may have been one of the guys that were injured. God works in mysterious ways, doesn't he. He is home for a reason. I am so thankful that he is here with me now, and am completely terrified that he has to go back shortly. Keep his troops in your prayers. They are going through a difficult time right now and need all of our prayers. |

A similar thing happened to a very good friend of my family. He came home for a couple of weeks so he could be with his wife during labor and have a little family bonding time after the delivery too.
few days into his leave he got word that about 10 of his guys were killed in an explosion.
Horrible.
God works in mysterious ways. Or, some people are just luckier than others. |

just a thank you!
| I found the comment about the reservist not being the REAL army very ridiculous. My husband and i are both in the guard and I work full time at the guard and day in and day out i am always working for the military. So to the lady that made the stupid comment about the REAL army SCREW YOU! To all the rest of you wether your in the military,or the wife of a soldier I thank you for doing all you are doing. My husband is currently in iraq and this has been a hell of year. We have two children and had a baby while he was deployed and this has been the hardest year of my life and to all of you out there doing the same and supporting your soldiers all i have to say to you as I have more respect for all of you than you will ever know. I know there are days when you want feel like things couldnt possibly get any more crazy but at the end of the day there are people out there that look up to you so much. So to the haters on this website go elsewhere because you dont screw with a the wife of a deployed soldier no matter what branch or reserves, regular or guard. |
