Take note of their movement, when they would be going to be more active and when would they going to sleep. But if you want an easy shot of a picture of your dog, you can try to take picture when they are sleeping.

In taking picture of your dog, focus on their face. Usually dog’s face would be a good part to show their cuteness. But if you have a big dogs, it is better to take a full body shot, especially if they have a good posture and look sexy.
