Tarpon reportIt seems like always this time of year we have a lot of tarpon around in a bunch of different places. There have been fish caught from the beaches all of the way back to the rivers. We have caught fish from 40 pounds up to 180 pounds this past week. Even with all of the rain, the fishing has been a little soggy, but real good. I think some of the best tarpon fishing of the season is still ahead of us.Other than tarpon reportI have seen a lot of cobia cruising around the flats. Some smaller ones to a couple more than 60 pounds this past week alone. Keep your eyes open around the shallow bars and flats for them. They like to follow large eagle rays and sting rays, the larger fish I have seen have been swimming alone.
