You should always pick teammates carefully when arrangeing a party. You don't wanna get all priests or all mages. You should try and balance it out like have maybe 2 warriors/paladins, and 1 healer, 1 hunter. As a hunter myself I have learned all about my pets and when to use them. Here is another helpful tip on hunter pets. For quests where you only fight one person at a time, or even in battlegrounds, the best pets to use are dps based creatures (ex. Cats, Raptors etc.) For mob quests and instant and raid parties always make sure you have a pet with a high armor level to off-tank for your party or for you(ex.Turtles,Bears,Alligators etc.) Also to keep a pet of each type make sure you buy a slot from you local stable master so you can switch out your pets for whichever reason.
