27 000 000 russian (soviet) people were either killed or died from starving during the Great Patriotic War (known in the whole world as the second World War). A very high price for the happy lives of their children and grandchildren. The May 9 is celebrated as the Victory day - the day when we all remember what happened and what sacrifice our country made to stop the war. I hope never again something like that will happen in the future. Thats why we celebrate this day - to remember...

war is never a good thing but unfortunately it might become neccessary to stop a great evil as what happened during the 2nd world war. fighting for freedom and the safety of our loved ones is always the most noblest reason if one must have to fight. i hope something like the first and second world war never repeats itself again. i love you lena.
