Dec. 12, 2005 - 2006 FLORIDA LEGISLATURE

Florida lawmakers passed legislation last week during a four-day special session to
give counties declared a major disaster area the option of extending the deadline for
early-payment discounts on property taxes. Under HB 15, local governments have
the option to extend the property tax discount period for homeowners in counties
declared a major disaster area.
