Jan. 7, 2006 - MORTGAGE RATES

For the first time in five years, short-term interest rates have surpassed
long-term rates, thanks to the Federal Reserve's ongoing rate hikes. If
the yield curve remains inverted, demand for ARMs would weaken; and
some borrowers could find it difficult to line up the financing necessary
for home purchases.
