These days Revis, whom the Jets selected with the 14th pick in the 2007 draft after trading up to select him, doesn't have to have his name Googled by Owens or any other receiver. Humbled but immensely talented, Revis has quickly become one of the league's premier young cornerbacks. Despite a 20-day contract holdout last summer, he emerged as the best cornerback in Jets camp and started in the opener. As was the case with the Cowboys and Owens, Revis usually found...

Quarterbacks Preview

Yahoo! 1.  Tom Brady - He is the heart and soul of the most hated team in football.  He was the AP Male Athlete of the Year.  He was the 2007 NFL MVP.  He has two Super Bowl MVP's.  He has three Super Bowls.  He fumbled the ball in the 2001 playoffs, but the referees made the worst call in the history of sports and said it was an incomplete pass. 2.  Tony Romo - No quarterback in football has it as easy as Tony Romo.  He plays quarterback for the most glamorous team in the NFL and has a vast array of weapons at his disposal.  Romo will be entering his third season as quarterback, second as a starter and the expectations are extremely high.  In his first year, he only started 11 games and threw 19 touchdowns.  Last year, he threw 36 TD's.  This year, he is expected to get the Cowboys back to the Super Bowl and there's little reason to believe he won't.  He has the best WR and TE in football and with Barber becoming the f...

QB Still A Toss-Up

San Fran. St. Houston@ Chi. Detroit@ Chi. LA Dodgers@ St. Better safe than sorry: Despite his veteran demeanour, Bills coach Dick Jauron knows better than to throw the inexperienced Trent Edwards to the wolves. August 6: The grass isn't always greener on the other side, Mr. The Jets took a closer look at their potential 2008 product yesterday when they played their annual Green-White intra-squad scrimmage at Hofstra's James M. Clemens was 4 of 7 in the first half, but failed to move the team consistently. Asked, tongue-in-cheek, whether he felt he nailed down the job, Pennington said, "That's up to the coach [Eric Mangini]. We get evaluated on everything; every time we step inside the white lines. We lost, which puts a shadow on things," Clemens said. "There were definitely some positives to build on. I'm progressing toward where I want to be. The path to get there has many different signs along the way. A Mike Nugent 45-yard field goal in the third quarter gave the Green te...

Forgot Password? As golf makes pitch for Olympic inclusion, does it belong in Summer Games? 0; iGolf is being considered for an Olympic sport for the 2016 Summer Games. Not only would the logistics of scheduling such an event boggle the mind, but what format would an Olympic golf tournament take? Match play? Medal play? Two-man teams? Plus, how many players from each country would be invited? Then again, wouldn't golfers -- like many other athletes -- like to represent their countries on the biggest sporting stage the world has to offer? The fact that several organizations (including the PGA Tour, R&A, USGA, LPGA and Augusta National) have come together in a unified effort to get golf included in the 2016 Olympic Games is an impressive achievement in itself. But that doesn't mean golf should be in the Olympics. In golf, the answer is quite obviously no. You would be hard pressed to get a single player to say he would rather win at the Olympics than capture one of the four major ...
