We have come into a time when we can analyze recent events that have come to pass, such as the Olympic Games in Beijing. We can learn from the positive and negative aspects of what has happened there. The concerns in Georgia may intensify. The astrological signatures are in place for a situation in which a great deception or some type of confusion, along with some form of violence, could occur. Now back to the last week of August. We can ruminate on all that has come to pass, factor it into our collective wisdom, and use it wisely in the future. There are some planetary configurations going on that indicate a big buildup of energy and action as we roll into September. • Sep. 5, 2008 - An evening of boot scootin' fun
Denim & Roses, an evening of fun, entertainment and food, will be held on Sept. 13 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Northeastern State University-Broken Arrow campus, 3100 E. New Orleans. Western attire is recommended. Proceeds will help fund the Pride of Broken Arrow's upcoming trip to California to participate in the Tournament of Roses parade. The evening will feature a full barbeque dinner, live music, dancing, a live auction and a silent auction. Ronald "Corky" Conzonire, president of the 2009 Tournament of Roses, will be the guest of honor and special speaker. Dr. Don Betz, president of NSU, will also speak at the event.
